Greensborough Plaza, a major retail hub in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburbs, approached Shake Creations to create an interactive fashion “zone” that would complement its seasonal fashion publication, GLife as a way to proactively raise the profile and perception of the centre’s fashion sector and to drive average spend within this sector. Shake Creations’ solution revolved around creating a simple, yet eye-catchingly modern interactive display hosted by stylist/designer, Amber Renae (FashionTV and Project Runway). Amber’s naturally bubbly nature encouraged shoppers to stop and chat one-on-one about fashion trends and ideas, whilst an animated multimedia display also highlighted similar trends and ideas both during hosted hours and during “down time”. The result was highly effective, with lots of passers-by stopping to gain some simple suggestions, then attending fashion stores within the centre to realise new personal fashion styles.
