KIDS Foundation Annual Ball 2009
KIDS Foundation Annual Ball 2009

The 16th KIDS Foundation Turning Scars Into Stars Annual Charity Ball was held on 23 May 2009 in the Grand Hyatt Melbourne's Savoy Ballroom. Shake Creations once again produced this event, this time turning the room into a Hollywood/Vegas-style nightclub and taking people back to the classic big-band era.

The night featured Denise Drysdale and Frankie J Holden as co-hosts, with Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-men), Eve von Bibra (Chantoozies) and Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen) fronting the 80s Brat Pack to deliver 80s classics with a jazz twist (including a number of their own signature hits).

Burn survivor, Rebecca Clay also had her dream of becoming a singer come true when she appeared in a surprise debut with Elizabeth Gaunt, and guests could also step into the KIDS Casino for a flutter and to raise some much-needed funds for KIDS Foundation's Burns Survivors Network. Shake Creations is proud to be associated with KIDS Foundation for this important event and looks forward to continuing to build this relationship in the future.
