The Riverland Bar and Cafe was the picturesque setting for the launch of National Ride To Work Day (NRTWD) 2008.
Set beside the beautiful Yarra River in central Melbourne, this breakfast event was hosted by Michael Roberts and featured a guest appearance by the honourable Peter Garrett AM, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, who inspired everyone to get involved with NRTWD (he even got on a bike himself!).
Other speakers of note included Harry Barber (Bicycle Victoria CEO and NRTWD Organiser) and representatives from many workplaces already involved in NRTWD. Coverage for the event was seen on the Seven Network, Network Ten and the ABC.
