Official F-111 Retirement DVD: “Dedicated Deterrence”
The F-111 was the longest serving and most successful aircraft to have flown in the Australian Defence Force. After close to 40 years of service to the Australian community, this awesome aircraft was retired on 03 December 2010.
As part of the retirement celebrations, Shake Creations joined forces with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to document the history of the F-111 from its acquisition through to its retirement. The end result was an eye-catching 40-minute documentary-style DVD covering the history, operation and the personnel behind one of the icons above Australian skies and beyond.
As producers of this amazing DVD, Shake Creations worked closely with RAAF (1SQN, 6SQN, and the RAAF Museum), Boeing Defence Australia, and Defence Digital Media to shoot and compile a spectacular record of an aircraft that will be sorely missed around the world.
This excerpt is the creative finale to the DVD and includes the thoughts of the Chief of the Air Force, along with various flight and maintenance staff associated with the operation of the F-111.
